Student senate updates winter activities; clubs and athletics report strong participation

The student reported DECA will send about 200 students to an upcoming district competition at Bloomington Jefferson High School and noted the math team and National Honor Society activities. Athletics updates included records for boys and girls basketball, boys and girls hockey, wrestling and gymnastics; the student also noted Nordic skiing and dance-team competitions. Arts updates included a winter one-act play and Scholastic Art Awards regional submissions, with results expected in February. The student said ACT prep is now being offered during school rather than after school and that a no-cell-phone policy may start at the semester.
