Because the evaluation timeline required an extended rental, the City Administrator authorized an additional month of truck rental and then authorized replacement of the pump to avoid further rental expenses. The resolution ratifies a total expenditure of $54,275.28 for the pump replacement and the rental.
Director Babica was present to answer questions. City staff said costs associated with rental and replacement will be absorbed within the existing budget and reflected in a future budget amendment if necessary.
The resolution passed on a roll-call vote: 9 ayes, 0 nays, 1 alderperson absent.
