Franklin County approves multiple payrolls, fund expenditures and consent agenda; resolution 2025-026 removed from agenda

Franklin County commissioners approved a series of payroll and fund expenditure motions and accepted the consent agenda (items 1–11) at their Jan. 8 meeting, while removing resolution 2025-026 from the agenda and pulling the minutes for later approval.

During the meeting commissioners moved and seconded approvals for multiple payroll and fund expenditure batches. Recorded amounts in the public transcript included a salary/clearing payroll and emergency management payroll of $1,234,387.21; a second salary/clearing payroll and emergency management payroll of $1,246,143.58; insurance claims fund expenditures of $257,412.27; fund expenditures of $124,728.43; fund expenditures of $922,944.89; and a final fund expenditures line read aloud in the transcript as “208,100 and $79.0” (transcript unclear). Each motion was seconded and approved by voice vote, with the chair declaring “Motion passes.”

Separately, the board removed a regular business item—Resolution 2025-026, budget transfers presented by Tim Anderson—because the presenter was not ready. Commissioners also pulled the Dec. 18, 2024 minutes from approval because they were not prepared. The consent agenda, corrected to show Resolution 2025-027, was approved as items 1 through 11.

Most approvals were by voice vote; the public transcript records only affirmative “aye” responses and the chair’s announcements that motions passed. No roll-call tallies were included in the public record.

Clerical follow-ups noted at the meeting included re-submitting the minutes for approval when prepared and the correction of a consent-item label to Resolution 2025-027.
