The Lawrence Licensing Board on Jan. 8 approved a series of routine licensing actions affecting local businesses, including a common victualer license for an indoor science museum/café and an increase in vehicle capacity for a used-car dealer, and tabled one item to its Jan. 22 meeting.
Board members approved the license for Ashima Shah to operate an indoor science museum and café at an address given in the record as 354 (Merrimack/Merryman) Street. Shah told the board, “I'm opening an indoor science museum slash cafe for parents and kids.” Commissioner Laird moved to approve the application; Commissioner Morales seconded. Commissioners recorded votes of yes by Commissioner Lea and Commissioner Morales; the motion passed.
The board also approved an expansion request for Enterprise, Inc., which does business as Burlington Motors at 284 South Broadway, to increase the number of vehicles licensed on site. Applicant Zach Fahey said the…
