The Farmers Branch City Council on Jan. 7 voted to table consideration of a zoning amendment for approximately 10.59 acres at 190 Whittington Place (within Planned Development District No. 88) to its Feb. 18 meeting.
Councilman David Reid asked to table the item; a councilmember seconded the motion and council voted to table the item during the public-hearing portion of the meeting. Staff had opened the public hearing on the proposal before the request to table was made.
No substantive action on the zoning request occurred at the Jan. 7 meeting; tabling moves discussion and any decision to the Feb. 18 council meeting. Staff did not provide additional public materials or a staff recommendation during the hearing prior to the motion to table.
Council members said the item will return to a future agenda for full consideration and public comment on Feb. 18.
