The court first approved a fiscal year 2024 bills set described as "2024-1" in the amount of $9,166.66. Commissioners then approved an additional fiscal year 2024 set totaling $72,119.70 after questions from Commissioner Tullig about a line item related to justice-of-the-peace (JP) payments, which staff characterized as refunds from overpayments received by JP offices.
Finally, the court approved fiscal year 2025 bills totaling $463,380.77. During discussion Ms. Carpenter noted that a new reporting system defaulted some entries to 2024 because bills were created in 2024; staff said the issue would be corrected in the next report. All three motions passed unanimously.
Commissioners asked for clarification on the JP refund line, and staff confirmed that the amount was a refund (overpayment returned from JP collections) processed through the county's accounts. No additional budget amendments or contract submissions were reported at the meeting.
