Auburn reports $528,780 from Rebuild Alabama Act applied to road intersection projects

At the Jan. 7 Auburn City Council meeting the city manager presented the annual Rebuild Alabama Act report for fiscal year 2024, telling the council the city received $528,780 and applied those funds to local road projects.
According to the announcement, funds were applied to improvements at the North Dean Road and East University Drive intersection and the University Drive intersection, and toward design work related to North College Street, Drake Avenue and North Gay Street intersection improvements. The city manager said the written report was provided in council packets and will be attached to the minutes and posted for public review, as required by the Rebuild Alabama Act.
No additional council action was required at the meeting; the report is informational under state law and intended to document use of Rebuild Alabama Act revenues for municipal transportation improvements.
