The mayor reported that the Auburn City Council approved several administrative items during the Jan. 7 mayor's minutes, including reappointments to the Board of Zoning Adjustment and contracts and traffic changes affecting city facilities and streets.
The council reappointed Mary Boyd and Marty Heffern to the Board of Zoning Adjustment, each to a second full term, the mayor said. "We appreciate their service to our community," the mayor added.
The council approved a $63,000 contract with Alpha Labelle for a reconditioned belt press at the H. C. Morgan Water Pollution Control Facility, according to the mayor's summary. The council also approved a no-parking zone on both sides of Miller Avenue.
Separately, the council approved a $14,000 change order with Pierce Custom Enforce and Tiller Truck related to a ladder truck the city ordered in 2022 and expects to receive this year, the mayor said.
Each item was announced during the mayor's minutes and recorded as approved in the meeting summary. The transcript does not list individual mover/second names or a roll-call vote tally for these approvals.
The actions maintain continuity for city operations: two zoning-board seats filled, a capital equipment purchase for wastewater operations, a traffic regulation on Miller Avenue and a procurement change for the fire department's ladder truck.
