Lawtey residents ask delegation to restore caution light, study speeds and repair DOT sidewalks

She also said vehicle speeds increase from 30 mph at U.S. 301 to 55 mph approaching Clay County and requested a formal speed study and pavement maintenance on County Road 225.
Delegation members said they would follow up with DOT and county staff to determine why the light was removed and to request a speed study and sidewalk maintenance; no formal action was taken at the meeting.
