At its Jan. 7 meeting the Carroll County Board of Commissioners approved the consent agenda, consolidating nine routine items into a single vote.
The clerk read consent items 10.1 through 10.9 from the packet. The items listed in the meeting record were: the district attorney contract (10.1); Georgia Indigent Defense Services (public defender office) matter (10.2); transition of accrued leave balances under a paid-time-off policy (10.3); approval to purchase a CAD system for $44,000 from the 911 fund (10.4); a USDA lease extension (10.5); a request for qualifications for recreation lighting design professionals (10.6); readoption of the Carroll County official zoning map (10.7); reappointment of Matt Klotfelter to the WARS (10.8); and appointment of Casey Vance to the agricultural advisory board (10.9).
A commissioner moved to approve the consent items as listed, a second was provided, and the chair called the vote. "Motion carries. 7-0," the chair announced.
The $44,000 CAD purchase was described in the packet as to be paid from the 911 fund; the transcript did not record other line-item budget details for the consent items. The packet for the public work session held Jan. 2 contains supporting materials, the clerk noted, and those materials are available on Carroll County's website, carrollcountyga.gov.
