Chief Williams said the ISO review assessed the city’s water department, emergency communications, electric utilities and the fire department’s operations and community risk reduction efforts. He said maintaining Class 1 can help with economic development and insurance ratings and reflects collaborative work across departments. The chief thanked staff from multiple departments for their role in maintaining the rating.
