CANYONS SCHOOL DISTRICT — Canyons School District officials on Jan. 7 told the Board of Education they are tracking more than 100 bills ahead of the 2025 Utah legislative session and have launched a nightly tracker for board members and the public.
Susan Edwards, the district's public engagement coordinator, said the district will email a bill tracker each night during the 45-day session and has provided a public RSS sign-up via a QR code. "We will email you the tracker every night," Edwards said during the presentation.
The presentation, led by Edwards and Charlie Evans, the district's director of external relations, explained the tracker shows a small set of "hot" bills the district is actively working on, a larger public list of all education-related proposals, committee status and the district's current position.
