Clearfield County reorganizes salary board, approves 2025 pay changes

The Clearfield County salary board reorganized for 2025 on a motion that appointed Commissioner Winters as chair, set its regular meeting schedule and approved pay increases for nonunion salaried employees and county security guards.

County officials said the reorganizing action aligns the salary board’s leadership with the county commissioners’ structure for the year. The board also set its regular meeting day and approved personnel pay adjustments included in an addendum to the county budget.

Commissioner Winters was moved and seconded as chair for 2025 and the motion carried. The board discussed naming a vice chair; a commissioner who had expressed interest was designated as vice chair for future consideration. The board set regular meetings for the second Tuesday of each month, with an exception in November when the meeting will be held Wednesday the 12th to avoid conflict with Veterans Day and the Nov. 4 election; that schedule was approved by motion.

On compensation, the board approved the 2025 salary increases for nonunion salaried employees per the attached addendum presented to members. The motion carried with one member recorded in opposition. The board also approved a separate pay change for county security guards: a 50-cent-per-hour raise to take effect as noted in the meeting record; that motion passed unanimously.

Board members voted to approve minutes from the Dec. 10, 2024, salary board meeting and then adjourned the salary board portion of the session.

The reorganizing and pay actions affect the county payroll and set meeting logistics for the salary board’s oversight of personnel matters going forward.
