The Development Review Committee on Jan. 8 reviewed the first submittal for the Golden Gem subdivision, a proposal for 65 units at the northwest corner of Golden Gem and Trestle Trail within the KPI area. The applicant said the site accommodates retention that could be coordinated with city roadway improvements already in design for Golden Gem Road.
A city reviewer advised the applicant to show a potential connection point on the drainage plan and to add notes clarifying the intent to take water from Golden Gem Road into the parcel so that the work is visible to council and consultants. The applicant agreed to add the notation and said the city’s Golden Gem Road improvements are at roughly 30–60% design and that the project had coordinated for retention and grading allowances.
DRC members had no additional substantive comments and directed the applicant to work with Gene and with city public services/engineering on the roadway coordination. No formal vote was recorded.
