Board approves 16 pay estimates; community center on track and city-hall solar online

City staff presented an adjusted pay estimate for INS Group that increased one line to $13,248.75; the board approved the full set of pay estimates by motion and voice vote.
Kevin Schubert, city public-works staff, gave a brief update on the community center project, saying the project is roughly at the midpoint of construction and that contingency funds remain “very healthy.” Schubert said staff expects the project to remain on schedule and budget, though the city may require additional construction-administration assistance from ISG later for items such as landscaping and donor-related architectural items.
On the city‑hall solar project, Schubert told the board the system was fully commissioned and turned on Dec. 23 and has been operating since. He said a small retainage is being withheld while staff and the contractor complete final items and pursue available rebates, including the Focus on Energy program, which staff expects to submit in the first quarter.
Board members asked whether any schedule or budget delays were expected; staff said none were perceived at this time and that the community center construction should wrap in late June through early August, with usual punch-list items to follow.
The pay estimates item passed by voice vote; the board did not request a roll-call tally.
