The Greenfield Common Council on Jan. 7 voted to approve a special use permit and associated site plan for Radiant Healing Massage and Wellness, proposed for Suite 203 at 8555 West Forest Home Avenue.
City staff told the council Radiant Healing would occupy approximately 1,200 square feet in the Forest Green Executive Center, operate under the planned-unit development’s special-use rules, and employ two full-time and two part-time staff. The planner said parking requirements for the three-building parcel total 149 spaces and 154 are provided; the Plan Commission recommended approval on Nov. 12 and no letters were filed for or against the application.
Applicant Lara Pfeiffer described a 30-year career as a massage therapist and said her business provides therapeutic, relaxation and sports massage for a wide range of clients. "We provide those services in 3 therapy rooms that are private in our office," Pfeiffer said, describing the layout and staff. Council members did not receive letters of objection and had no additional concerns during the hearing.
A motion to approve the resolution and site plan for Radiant Healing Massage and Wellness carried on a roll call vote; recorded votes were unanimous among voting members present (Alderpersons Juzwicki, Kastner, Acres, Sarian, Bailey and Zwicky).
