The Ashland County Zoning and Land Committee approved its meeting agenda and the Oct. 8, 2024 minutes and elected a new vice chair after a member resigned due to moving out of the county.
At the start of the meeting Blake Ellefsen called roll; three members were present and one absent. Pat Kenny moved to approve the agenda; Jim Schultz seconded and the motion carried on a voice vote. A motion to approve the Oct. 8 minutes passed after a short discussion about a Bayfield County reference in the minutes.
Committee members then elected a new vice chair to replace Mike Stark, who had moved out of Ashland County. Blake nominated Pat Kenny; Pat accepted the nomination. Blake and Pat both recorded seconds during the discussion and the committee approved the nomination by voice vote. Committee members also scheduled their next meeting for Feb. 11 at 3 p.m., with the committee planning to reconvene in April to review property lists under the new tax-deed procedures.
The meeting adjourned by unanimous voice vote.
