Council members and staff proposed splitting the existing committee that combined community services and land use into two standing committees: Community Services and Natural Resources (the latter would be the new name reverting from Land Use). The council agreed in principle to have four standing committees: Public Facilities, Finance/Administration & Economic Development, Community Services and Natural Resources, plus an executive committee composed of committee chairs and the council chair and vice chair.
