Gray said health insurance contributions remain unchanged in year 1. He described a planned second-year change that repositions some staff on the salary schedule and specifies a district contribution rate for insurance that merges family and employee-plus-one categories.

Gray said the unit's membership is roughly 50 employees. A motion to approve the contract was made by Christie Peterson and seconded by Joe Aldridge; the board approved the motion by voice vote.
Board members asked clarifying questions about how the lump-sum payment is applied and the approximate number of employees in the bargaining unit. Staff did not present a dollar cost total for the lump-sum payment on the record during the meeting.
