The Norwich City Council on Jan. 6 voted to receive a resignation from the Mohegan Park Improvement and Development Advisory Committee and members expressed appreciation for the departing member's service.

A motion to receive the resignation was made by Alderman Nash and seconded by Alderman Sheila Hayes. Council members noted the departing member, identified only as Beryl in the public record, has been active with events and with the advisory board’s work at Mohegan Park. Council members described the person as a frequent presence at city events and thanked her for her leadership on the advisory committee.

The roll call vote to receive the resignation recorded six affirmative votes and no votes against. The motion carried 6-0. No public comments on the resignation were recorded during the citizen comment period for resolutions.
