At its Jan. 7 meeting, the Clinton County Board of Commissioners approved claims, accepted meeting minutes and reappointed the county attorney for another year.
Commissioners approved claims for Jan. 3 totaling $6,192.60, a biweekly payroll for Jan. 7 totaling $347,347.70, a court claim of $3,884.55 and a highway claim of $13,000. A commissioner moved to approve the claims and the board recorded "Motion carries 3-0."
The board also approved regular meeting minutes and joint executive session minutes from Dec. 31. Commissioners then considered the annual county attorney contract and, after review of a previously circulated draft, moved to appoint Tom Little for another year. The transcript records the motion as "Motion by Kevin, second by Bert. Motion carries 3-0."
The board set its next regular meeting for Jan. 21 and adjourned. No contested votes or public controversies were recorded on these items.
