The Clinton County Area Plan Commission on Jan. 7 elected Jordan Brewer president, named Grant Mueller vice president and approved Dan Sheets to continue as secretary, voting unanimously to confirm the slate.
The vote followed nominations during the commission’s meeting at 6:02 p.m. Jordan Brewer was nominated for president and Grant Mueller for vice president; Dan Sheets agreed to continue as secretary. Dan Sheets moved to approve the nominations and Jeff Chenoweth seconded the motion. A roll call vote recorded yes votes from Grant Mueller, Dan Sheets, Walt Minnick, Andy Bailey and Jeff Chenoweth; Jordan Brewer and Chad Colby were recorded as absent earlier in the roll call.
The elections establish the commission’s leadership for the upcoming period and were handled at the start of the meeting before other agenda items. No public objections or alternate nominees were recorded in the transcript.
The commission also approved the meeting minutes by roll call at the same session. The record shows the motion to approve the minutes was seconded and carried by the same unanimous roll call.
The commission scheduled its next meeting for Feb. 4 and noted a separate town advisory meeting on Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the Park Pavilion in Rossville for members who wish to observe.
