So we are looking for a motion with the condition that our office not issue the license until the owner confirms the opening date no later than February 6th,” Gina said.
Councilmember discussion was brief. A motion to approve the license, with the stated conditions, was moved (mover not specified in the record) and seconded by Alderman Mulder. The council then voted by roll call; the eight aldermen present voted "aye," and the motion passed.
The license is for the business space described by staff as the former Gordy's Marine Boat Sales location, adjacent to Cornerstone in downtown Oconomowoc. City staff will withhold issuance of the license until the required inspections are completed and the owner provides the required opening-date confirmation.
The council did not set an alternative date; the condition recorded in the meeting requires the owner to confirm an opening date on or before Feb. 6, 2025, for the city to issue the license.
