Casper council adopts new public-works specs, updates reciprocal contractor fee process and approves broad consent agenda

The Casper City Council on Jan. 7 adopted an ordinance repealing the existing Chapter 16.18 of the Casper Municipal Code and creating a new Chapter 16.18 to adopt standard specifications for public works construction and infrastructure improvements. The council also adopted, on third reading, an amendment to section 15.12.050 of the Casper Municipal Code to establish an administrative process and fee for reciprocal contractor licenses.

Councilors moved and seconded the ordinances on third reading. The public was offered an opportunity for comment on both items; no substantive public comment was recorded. Both ordinances passed with all councilors voting aye as recorded by the city clerk.
