Clinton County approves annual maintenance, microfilm contracts with CSI; small price increase noted

The Clinton County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 7 approved annual maintenance and microfilm services agreements with CSI, the county’s records software vendor, and authorized staff to sign the contracts.
Kylie Mitchell, who presented the agreements, said the county has used CSI since about 2015 and that the current contracts showed no substantive changes from last year. Mitchell noted the annual maintenance invoice included a roughly $2,000 increase compared with the prior year’s invoice.
The board voted to approve the contracts by voice vote; the clerk recorded the outcome as “Motion carries 3-0.”
Mitchell told commissioners she had reviewed both contracts and that the microfilm services were standard, required by the county’s retention schedule. She said the maintenance increase appeared consistent with similar increases the vendor has implemented in recent years to cover added support staff and feature updates.
No member of the public offered comment on the contracts at the meeting, and the board did not attach conditions or amendments to the approvals. The contracts will be signed by county officials following the meeting.
Votes at the meeting indicated unanimous approval, and Mitchell said the county receives the agreements early enough that the increase had been included in budgeting conversations.
