Council approves 10-foot utility easement to Avista for sewer lift station access

The City of Rathdrum City Council authorized Mayor Hill to sign a conveyance granting Avista Corporation a 10-foot-wide utility easement next to the city27s sanitary sewer Lift Station No. 4 on Burlington Road.

Public works staff explained that the easement formalizes an existing arrangement: when the pump station was constructed Avista extended infrastructure through the adjacent right-of-way and the easement aligns legal title with the installed facilities. Staff requested council authorization for the mayor to sign the conveyance.

Councilmember John moved to approve the conveyance and another councilmember seconded. The council voted to approve the easement and authorized Mayor Hill to execute the document.
