The mayor told the committee he has worked with O'Donnell since becoming mayor five years ago and said he “didn't hesitate to reappoint him,” citing O'Donnell's role in assisting the city on assessment valuation and ensuring tax revenues are generated properly.
John O'Donnell, who told the committee he has served 11 years on the board, thanked councilors for the reappointment. A motion to recommend the appointment favorably was made, seconded and carried at the committee meeting.
The committee recommendation will go to the full City Council for final confirmation.
