County to seek new contract for animal services after River Valley Vet requests $500 increase; staff to issue RFP

River Valley Vet asked Morgan County on Jan. 7 for a $500 monthly increase to the 2025 allotment for housing and caring for animals sheltered under the county's animal-services arrangement. Jason Lott, speaking for River Valley Vet, said rising costs for labor, utilities and maintenance justify the increase and described the kennel capacity and services the vet clinic provides.
