During a discussion in closed session and upon returning to open session, commissioners moved and approved the per-diem increase. Staff noted that separate salary increases tied to tenure and state legislative adjustments are also taking effect this year; the $300 per-month addition is a local per-diem adjustment and not a change to base salary.
The board recorded the motion to implement the per-diem increase beginning Feb. 1 and concluded the regular meeting by adjourning.
