Development Services Director David Cool recommended a one-year extension to the city’s professional services agreement with Albrecht & Associates to continue hearing-examiner services. The council approved the extension unanimously.
Why it matters: The city uses a contracted hearing examiner for land-use hearings and quasi-judicial matters. David Cool told the council the city selected Phil Albrecht after a competitive process and that the city was satisfied with his performance during the first year.
Council action: Council Member Stuckey moved to approve Amendment No. 1 to the professional services agreement with Albrecht & Associates, PLLC, extending hearing-examiner services for one additional year; the motion was seconded and the council voted unanimously to approve the extension.
Implementation: Staff will finalize amendment documents and continue scheduling hearing examiner services as needed for land-use hearings and related proceedings.
