The Catoosa County Board of Education reviewed November 2024 financial statements and, by unanimous vote, approved a set of routine action items including human-resources recommendations, minutes from several December meetings, the November financial report, an East Bloss report and field trip requests.
A finance staff member presented the November general fund balance sheet, reporting "Total assets, 549,626; total liabilities, 7,999,962; fund balance negative 745,336." The presenter said the figures include a short-term loan that the district paid off before the holidays to maintain operations. On the statement of revenues and expenditures, the presenter reported total revenues and other sources of $31,410,335 and total expenditures and other uses that produced the reported negative fund balance.
The presenter also summarized the capital projects fund and debt service fund balances: capital project fund assets of $4,021,234 and a fund balance of $3,635,535; debt service fund assets and balances reported in the transcript as approximately $7,141,329 with related revenues and expenditures discussed.
During the action-items portion, a motion to approve (items 1–5: human resources recommendations; minutes for Dec. 10, Dec. 16 and Dec. 24; the November financial report; the November East Bloss report; and field trip requests) was made and seconded. The board approved the motion unanimously with no discussion recorded.
The board confirmed there was no need for an executive session and moved to adjourn after approving the items.
