Residents press Lyon County to limit explicit material in public libraries; county schedules library-board item

Fred Schroeder, who identified himself as a Lyon County resident and retired corrections associate warden, told commissioners he submitted a packet and "the signatures of 313 other residents who share this concern about protecting children." Jim Davis, another resident, cited Nevada law and told the board, "Nevada state law prohibits distributing ******** explicit materials to minors in NRS 201.265," and said he wanted the county to research next steps.
