City updates: audit progress, hiring, CDGB applications and street-sweeping service change

The city manager told the council the city is accepting applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funding; applications are due February 13. Staff said eligible nonprofit groups and organizations have been notified.
Staff also said Jilton, the city’s street-sweeping vendor, informed the city it will discontinue regular sweeping as of the start of the year; Jilton offered limited pinch‑in service if needed. The city is soliciting quotes from private companies and discussing options with neighboring cities to secure ongoing street-sweeping services.
