The Nelson County Board of Education on Jan. 7, 2025, sworn in two newly elected members and voted to select Tracy Bowling as board chair and Karen Lee as vice chair, while reappointing Superintendent Bradley as the board secretary.
The meeting opened with the administration of the oath of office under KRS 62.020 for newly seated members Jody Gilliland (District 2) and Karen Lee (District 5). During the organizational portion of the meeting, a motion to nominate and elect Tracy Bowling as chair for calendar year 2025 was made and approved by voice vote.
