Parks said the USDA grant does not require a local match; staff will use existing bond funding and the project's previously budgeted $1,300,000 figure to demonstrate local investment during the application review. Staff recommended approval and said the resolution is required for the application process.
Council asked whether the grant would impose additional cost obligations on the city if awarded; Parks said there are no additional local-match requirements and that the city would rely on the previously budgeted project funds to support the application and scoring. The council approved the resolution on an immediate vote, 6-0.
