The Republic City Council approved the final plat for Harper Ridge Phase 2 (Bill 25-02), which will legally divide about 13.18 acres into 45 medium-density single-family residential lots and dedicate associated right-of-way, utility, and stormwater easements. The motion passed 6-0 on final passage.
Planning staff said the site had earlier received a preliminary plat approval (Emerald Valley Phase 2 on Oct. 26, 2021) and that staff determined the final plat substantially conformed to that approved development plan and to city code chapter 410 (subdivision regulations), Article 5 (major subdivision final plan). The staff overview said the final plat includes approximately 2,504 linear feet of new street and 2,303 linear feet of sidewalk. Staff identified the location as the most northern point of the city on Main Street and said the final phase would finish out in a few months.
No council questions or public comments were recorded before staff requested a second reading and the council approved the ordinance on second and final readings. The clerk read the ordinance by title before the final vote; the record shows the ordinance passed 6-0.
