Supervisors appoint and reappoint dozens to advisory boards and commissions

The Lake County Board of Supervisors approved a slate of appointments and reappointments to more than a dozen local advisory boards and special districts during its Jan. 7 meeting.
The board voted to reappoint or appoint members across bodies that advise county departments and provide local governance, including the Planning Commission, Library Advisory Board, Resource Conservation District, Cemetery Districts, the Emergency Medical Care Committee, Scotts Valley Municipal Advisory Council, Spring Valley CSA No. 2 advisory board and others.
Notable actions included reappointments to the Planning Commission: Everardo Chavez Perez (District 2), Batuan A. Brown (District 3) and Sharon Zoller (District 5). The board also filled vacancies on advisory bodies with a mix of incumbents and new appointees. Listings of several approved appointments follow.

Several items were continued for staff follow-up or to a subsequent meeting at the request of supervisors. In particular, a subset of vacancies affecting District 1 were held to allow the new supervisor time to review candidates. The board said those appointments will be returned to the agenda at a future meeting.
Ending County staff said remaining applications will be brought back for action next week and that clerks will update committee rosters and public-facing directories following the confirmations.
