Stanislaus County on an occasion in early 2025 held a swearing-in ceremony where county supervisors took the oath of office administered by Hon. Sunny Sandhu, presiding judge. The event included remarks from county Chief Executive Officer Jody Hayes and from supervisors who were sworn in or recognized.
The ceremony recognized Supervisor Vito Chiesa (District 2) and Supervisor Buck Condit (District 1) being sworn in for new terms; Supervisor Chance Condit (District 5) was noted as reelected but was sworn in separately and was not present. Presiding Judge Sunny Sandhu administered the oath to those present, with the oath recited to support and defend the U.S. Constitution and the Constitution of the State of California and to faithfully discharge the duties of office.
Speakers used the occasion to thank county employees and department heads and to acknowledge families and community partners in attendance. Remarks by supervisors highlighted gratitude for public service, recognition of long-tenured county employees, and the geographic areas each supervisor represents. Attendees included county elected officials and city leaders; several county officials and municipal mayors and council members were named during introductions.
The ceremony concluded with a group photo opportunity in front of the county seal and refreshments offered in the lobby.
