Planning staff to require pre-application consultations for plan amendments and site plans starting in April

Executive Director Amy Brooks said the consultations will apply to county plan amendments and to applications requiring site plans, including special uses, use-on-review applications, development plans and concept plans. "We will be transitioning to requiring a pre application consultation in advance of application submittals for county plan amendments, per the new, comprehensive plan, and as well as applications that require site plans," Brooks said.
Brooks said the goal is to give applicants an early opportunity to review submittal requirements and receive a detailed list of required materials. She said the meetings will include both city and county staff and will begin with the April agenda items; staff will notify applicants and post details on the planning office website.
