Staff explained the district’s advisory board comprises eight members (five voting, three nonvoting). One incumbent’s term was expiring and that member is being re‑appointed; staff said two residents applied to fill the open seat and the advisory board unanimously recommended Doug Luther after interviews that included a sitting advisory-board member.
Staff said the board’s recommendation will be forwarded to the county commissioners and that a resolution will be prepared for the regular meeting consent agenda next week to confirm the appointment. No board vote was taken at the briefing.
The appointment process and upcoming resolution were described as a routine administrative matter.
