The High Desert Corridor Joint Powers Agency’s executive director, Arthur Sohikian, described the link as a locally funded, 54‑mile connection designed to tie California’s high‑speed rail project to Brightline West in Southern Nevada. Sohikian said the project “is more than transportation. This is transformation.”
