Wheat Ridge rolls out pavement-management plan after citywide road condition survey

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Wheat Ridge’s Public Works Department on Jan. 6 presented a data-driven six-zone pavement-management plan and capital improvement program (CIP) priorities for 2025, including a citywide pavement condition index (PCI) survey and targeted projects drawn from the findings.
Maria, the city’s Public Works director, and Kent Kisleman, the CIP program manager, told city council the city had performed an automated street-condition scan that rated segments from 0 (failed) to 100 (excellent) and produced an overall network PCI of 66. Staff said the PCI and the StreetLogix software will be used to prioritize treatments and keep the network from deteriorating further.
