Rutherford County Commission confirms multiple appointments, approves mineral severance tax resolution

The Rutherford County Commission confirmed a slate of appointments and voted to forward a resolution asking the county delegation to seek changes to the countys mineral severance tax.

The actions, taken by voice vote during the meeting, included approval of the prior meeting minutes and confirmations for Barbara Sutton to the Audit Committee (four-year term), Pettus to the Agricultural Advisory Board (two-year county commission vacancy), the reappointment of Kate Jernigan to the CCRC board (three-year term) and Kayla Howard as County Genealogist to the Records Commission (mayors appointment).
