Central York SD held its reorganization meeting on Dec. 3, 2020, where the board elected Amy Milston as board president and Rebecca Rick as vice president and approved a recurring meeting schedule. Eight board members were present for the short session.
The board opened nominations for a temporary president. A board member nominated Rebecca Rick; a second was recorded and the board elected Rick by voice vote. The board then nominated and elected Amy Milston as board president by voice vote after a single nomination. Rebecca Rick was later nominated and elected vice president by voice vote.
The board discussed and approved a calendar of discussion, action and committee meeting dates (noted in BoardDocs). A motion to accept the dates passed on a voice vote.
Board members also noted committee assignments. Director Walker was announced to take over as policy committee chair going forward; the announcement was presented as an assignment rather than a formal, recorded vote. The board also noted the Lincoln Intermediate Unit requires a district representative for the next three years, and a board member volunteered to serve as that representative for the coming term.
During roll call, Miss Martin recorded eight members present and one absent. The presiding officer noted the live stream was not functioning for the meeting and that meeting audio would be made available online at a later time.
