Atoka governing bodies approved a set of routine administrative items during the meeting, including minutes, reports, purchase orders and a council resolution providing notice to the county election board.
Key outcomes: - The Emergency Management Authority approved minutes of prior meetings and accepted the emergency management director’s quarterly report. - Trustees voted to cancel future regular meetings of the Emergency Management Authority (see separate article on termination) and approved a special meeting on Jan. 21 to approve minutes. - The Atoka City Council approved minutes of Dec. 16, 2024, accepted the city manager’s report, and approved blanket purchase orders for January 2025 (listed on agenda attachment 3). - The council adopted Resolution No. 2025-01 to serve as a guide and notice to the Atoka County election board for the election of mayor (attachment 4); councilmembers voted by roll call with all present voting "Yes." - The Economic Development Director’s report and several authority/trust minutes were accepted by roll call across the municipal authority, industrial development authority and other trustee boards.
All listed routine items passed by roll call vote; the record shows unanimous approval among members present on each item. These matters were treated as standard business with limited discussion.
