San Joaquin County board unanimously elects Canepa as chair, Dhaliwal as vice chair

The board then nominated Supervisor Sunny Dhaliwal as vice chair; the nomination was seconded. By roll call, Gardia, Dhaliwal, Ding, Rickman and Canepa each voted "yes" and the nomination passed unanimously.
The votes were procedural leadership elections to determine meeting and committee succession; no accompanying policy or budget actions were taken as part of these motions.
