The resolution, read aloud and passed in council chambers, moves ARP funds labeled “frf2401” from account 000-411 to 000-315 (Truesdale Avenue/Clear Lake Loop) in the amount of $487,200. It also reallocated $10,597.23 from 000-421.002 (Park Street Infrastructure) to 000-315 (Truesdale Avenue/Clear Lake Loop); $22,779.62 from 000-421.002 (Park Street Infrastructure) to 803-375 (Winterfest ice rink); $4,250.38 from 431 Washington Street Building to 803-375 (Winterfest ice rink); and $150.62 from 431 Washington Street Building to 000-421 (Belo Largo Infrastructure).
Clerk Treasurer Park Thune told the council these transfers follow the American Rescue Plan resolution adopted at the end of last year and subsequent Board of Works obligations, and are intended to place funds in the appropriate 2025 line items to pay for essential services and obligations.
Council members moved and seconded the resolution and voted in favor; the clerk recorded the motion as passing. All council members who participated in the roll call earlier in the meeting were present for the vote.
The transfers were recorded as part of routine budget housekeeping to fund specific projects and seasonal programming, including Winterfest operations and street infrastructure work. No amendments or public opposition were recorded during the council discussion.
The resolution was introduced, read in full, and then voted on during the meeting; councilors approved the motion to adopt the transfers.
