Maple Heights Board approves 2025 meeting schedule, retains legal counsel and renews memberships

Other annual resolutions approved included Resolution 2506 (establishing a board members’ service fund), Resolution 2507 (recognizing January as School Board Appreciation Month), Resolution 2508 (providing a surety bond for the business manager), Resolution 2509 (authorizing the treasurer to pay bills), Resolution 2510 (continued membership in the Ohio School Boards Association, OSBA), Resolution 2511 (renewal of membership in OSBA’s Legal Assistance Fund), and Resolution 2512 (continued membership in the National School Boards Association, NSBA). All items were moved, seconded and approved by roll call with the board recording affirmative votes for the measures on the meeting record.
The retained legal services were described in the resolutions as connected to tax levies, bond issues and borrowing for authorized school purposes; the motions did not include negotiated fee details in the meeting record.
