Committee approves minutes, bills and files reports; staff resignation, vehicle purchase and payment-fee notice noted

The LaSalle County Land Use and TIF Committee opened its meeting on Jan. 6 with roll call and approved minutes from the previous meeting and the bills presented, both by voice vote.
Chairman Doug Stockley called for approval of the minutes; Tina seconded the motion and the committee approved it by voice. Later the committee voted to approve the bills and to place the departmental reports on file; both motions passed by voice votes.
Administrative updates included a staff resignation and a vehicle purchase. County staff announced that Miranda Lincoln resigned from the land use office and that the county has posted the position and begun accepting applications. Staff also reported that the county would purchase a 2025 Ford Explorer under the state bid for a county vehicle with an emergency light package; the presenter said the package and delivery made the price about $450 over the original budget but that county finance staff indicated that would be acceptable.
The committee also reviewed a notice from the AllPaid credit-card processor indicating a service fee increase for card transactions; staff said the fee is charged to the person paying and that the county does not receive the fee revenue. Recycling staff reported that the county’s 2025 recycling event schedule and a flyer are posted on the county website.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn, which passed by voice vote.
