Murayama Mow Ivory sworn in as Fulton County District 4 commissioner

Murayama Mow Ivory was sworn in as Fulton County District 4 commissioner at an inauguration ceremony, where she recited the oath and said her priorities will include making government services more accessible to residents and strengthening ties between neighborhoods and county government.

During the ceremony, Ivory recited the oath of office, saying, "That I will support the constitution of the United States, the constitution of the state of Georgia," and concluded the oath with, "So help me God." A family member said, "I'm bullish about the promise and possibilities of Grama Mo Ivory Martin and what she will provide during her tenure of service." In her remarks after taking the oath, Ivory said her office will work to reduce the distance between residents and county services. "As your commissioner, my focus will be on building these bridges, not just between neighborhoods, but also between you, the people, and the government that serves you," she said. Ivory urged residents to learn about available resources and to take part in local decision-making. "So I wanna thank you for trusting me with this responsibility. Let's get to work, Fulton County, and let's do it together," she said.
